Missed Delivery Reschedule Scam
A 'we missed you' message asks you to reschedule a delivery through a link that captures your details and a small fee.
Think a message like this reached you? You can check it right now.
What this scam is
You receive a note that a delivery attempt failed and you can reschedule by clicking a link. The link leads to a convincing but fake carrier page that asks you to pick a time and then enter address and card details for a small handling fee. Nothing was ever on its way; the goal is to harvest your information. These spike around holidays and big sale periods when real deliveries are common.
What it usually looks like
- A 'sorry we missed you' text with a reschedule link.
- A page that asks for card details to reschedule.
- A small fee to pick a new delivery window.
- A short deadline before the item is 'returned to sender.'
Common warning signs
- Carriers leave a physical slip or update tracking — they do not text card-entry links.
- The link domain is not the real carrier.
- You are asked to pay to reschedule a free delivery.
- The message arrived for a package you did not order.
Example wording scammers use
“UPS: We attempted delivery but missed you. Reschedule within 24h: ups-reschedule-parcel.net”
“Your package delivery failed. Select a new time and confirm your details to receive it.”
